8355W- 1/2/HP AC belt drive- This one runs at one speed. Still a smooth operating belt at a lower cost. 
8550W- 3/4HP DC belt drive- this will be even smoother because the DC operates at two speeds. It has slow take off and slow landing. By doing this it will avoid the rattle of the door upon opening it.
